The first Infiniti G37 model was launched in 1991 and the company has continued the Production of model in various generations for the G-37 - by a subsidiary of Nissan automobile company, and has lead to vehicles produced during the period 1991 to 2002 such as compact executive cars and mid-sized luxury cars.
The Infiniti G version models was also called as Nissan Skyline and the first generation models were built based on the Nissan Primera.
First Generation (1991-1996)
Infiniti G20 was the first luxury car released in the states of America. The first G-series model produced was launched on 10th of July, 1990. The Infiniti model released in third generation, G35 is also called as Nissan Skyline and was available in both the coupe and sedan models. It offered with three engines like the 3.5 liter V6 engines in various powers. The Infiniti G35 model relates to the Nissan 350z, Infiniti FX and Infiniti M models.
Fourth generation (2007-present)
The Infiniti G37 model was released as fourth generation vehicle in the G-series models. It is also called as Nissan Skyline and is offered in two different models such as sedan and coupe models. The G-37 model is released as a predecessor to the G35 model and falls under the category of mid size entry level luxury sedan model. The vehicle uses the front engine layout and provides either the four wheel drive or the rear wheel drive.
The available engines to the vehicle include 3.5 liter VQ35HR V6 that produces 228 kilo watts of power, 3.7 liter VQ37VHR V6 engine that produces 250 kilo watts of power, and 3.7 liter VQ37VHR V6 engine that delivers 245 kilo watts of power. The car is built based on the Nissan FM platform and allowed the transmissions like 5-speed and 7-speed automatic and 6-speed manual transmissions.
The Infiniti sports coupe model was unveiled at the International Auto Show held in New York in 2007 and now it is available as a 2008 model. The coupe model is featured with the 3.7 liter V6 engine that produces 250 kilo watts of power. The current generation Infiniti G37model is available in three different models like the G37 convertible, G37X coupe and the G37 sedan models.
The available safety features in the vehicle include curtain side air bags at front and rear side and dual frontal air bags as standard features on all the models.
